• What is Title?
The evidence one has of the right to possession of land.  Typically that evidence comes in the form of a deed recorded at The Register of Deeds Office in the county where the property is located.


• What is Title Insurance?
Insurance against loss resulting from defects of title to a specifically described parcel of real property.


• What does Title Insurance protect?
Purchasers in a real estate transaction and banks lending money secured by real property.


• Warranty Deed: 
A deed used to convey fee title to real property. Warranty being a legal, binding, promise, given at the time of sale, whereby the seller gives the buyer certain assurances as to the condition of the property being sold.


• Quit Claim Deed:
A deed acting as a release; intended to pass any title, interest, or claim which the grantor may have in property, but not containing any warranty of a valid interest or title in the grantor.
